Freeport LNG is the country's second largest exporter of liquefied natural gas; it supplies roughly 20% of the country's LNG exports, primarily to Europe and Asia. But operations halted in June when an over-pressurized pipeline caused an explosion, resulting in the facility being shutdown.

The initial restart will have the plant exporting enough liquefied natural gas to satisfy existing customer contracts.
