If there's a greater risk that instead of, say, Barcelona vs. Bayern we get APOEL vs. BATE Borisov, that won't be as attractive. One of the clubs in favor of these changes reckons that it could generate an extra 20 percent in revenue per season.

Mhh, diese Argumentation klingt für mich sehr ideologisch. Hätte eine Superliga wirklich mehr Reichweite? Mal angenommen, ich ware APOEL oder BATE Borisov Fan, würde mich diese Superliga wirklich so sehr interessieren? Überhaupt, wenn sich alle Nationen außer den großen 4 ausgeschlossen fühlen, wie soll man dort Begeisterung für das neue System auslösen?

Es ist dämlich, einen Aspekt der NBA/NFL (Geschlossene Gruppe) anzupreisen, die anderen (Salary Cap, Drafts, Franchise Gebühren, College Teams) zu ignorieren. Der Fußball in Europa ist nicht trotz sondern gerade wegen der Auf- und Abstiege, der Überraschungsmannschaften und der vielen Titelkandidaten so beliebt.
